My name is Eileen Laskar, ….a mother of 3 young men who all tower over me, and this is now a permanent phenomenon that I have to live with. Along my life’s journey and where it has taken me, I have informally adopted sons and daughters who call me Mum Eileen. The good thing about this category is the fact that the number is unlimited and not dependent on my biological clock.

The Divine Mums Fellowship is inspired by my personal journey as a child, an adult doing life , an executive leadership coach working with top- notch and extremely driven leaders as well as my experiences as a mother. Through all this complex maze , I have come up recognize the profound impact of childhood experiences on our lives, and particularly, the impact of parenting on who we become , how we do this thing called life, how we show up, how we steward leadership, parenting, etc. I have particularly become acutely aware of the critical role of a mother in shaping the destiny of their children and generations. I don’t mean to say that fathers role is to be discounted, but being a woman and a mother, I choose to focus on the world I know and understand best- motherhood. Not to say that I have arrived; absolutely not. But I do have enough ground covered. After all, ain’t motherhood a lifelong journey?
Working with a coach and counselor helped me understand how childhood experiences shaped my beliefs, values, worldview, emotions, behaviors, etc. It was like the unseen roots that were holding this giant tree in place. And because of the many challenges that my roots had ( I will share more of this during the fellowship journey), I really struggled with many beliefs that were disempowering. It took working with coaches and therapists to unlock this, and empower me to slowly but surely become the phenomenal woman that I am today; I didn’t wake up like this., This journey and the joy of living i enjoy today is what has inspired me to do this work with young mothers so that they can intentionally shape their destinies and those of their generations. And I must add that the Lord has given me this assignment in this season. The only choice I have is to obey
.Childhood nurture plays a crucial role in shaping our personalities, despite the misconception that personality is solely a genetic and DNA matter. And according to psychologists, the first 12 years are absolutely critical in shaping all that we see in adults.
Through my coaching practice working with leaders from all walks of life abd industries, I discovered that a leader’s enablers and struggles are deeply rooted in their childhood experiences, which led to the creation of this initiative. I have ran and debriefed many leadership assessments with hundreds of leaders. But one of them really stood out in painting the picture of the correlation between one’s identity and how they show up as leaders - the leadership circle profile (LCP). This was a turning point for me. And I as I do thus work today, I want to acknowledge my LCP coach - Mr. Aaronde Creighton - who made me see all that fueling and running my life. And this is the experience I want to give the fellows of this program through the carefully curated modules.
There’s so much I can share here- Insecure leaders often lacked security at home as children; leaders who lack empathy and compassion never experienced that at home; leaders who struggle to appreciate others' efforts may not have been appreciated as children; leaders who are mean were most likely raised by mean families; leaders who are not supportive were most likely never supported and had to fed for themselves, etc
I can write a whole book about this - Addressing my childhood influences resulted in significant improvements in my relationships with myself, my family, my co workers, my friends and even my relationship with God.I am living my life fully and wholeheartedly. I am living loving, living loved and loving living. And this experience is the gift in store for the divine mums fellows.
I aim to help others experience personal transformation, improved relationships, and a renewed sense of purpose, similar to what I've undergone. By the grace of God, I hope to transform generations and transform leadership, one mum and one child at a time
I had an awakening moment on 23rd April , 2023. The Lord inspired me to use all my personal experiences and journey to to bring healing and restoration to mothers, their children, families, Nations and multiply leaders for Africa. You see, for the last almost 20 yeasty, I have tremendously impacted leadership downstream (working with mature executives), and it’s globe time to impact upstream (the formative stages of the leaders).
Firstly, morhers are divine conduits of His divine creation. They also play a very pivotal role in nurturing and shaping lives, whether consciously or unconsciously. This makes them a natural choice for this transformational work. And being a mother, I can relate better with mothers than fathers. It’s a familiar territory.
The primary goal is to empower mothers to embrace their divine role in shaping future generations and leaders, creating a positive ripple effect for generations and Nations.
By helping mothers understand their impact and address childhood influences, we aim to create healthier, more nurturing environments for children and future leaders of this continent and beyond.
I hope participants will gain self-awareness, improved relationships, and the ability to positively impact their children's lives and future generations through their nurturing role as mothers.
I take this to be my extension of marketplace ministry. So it’s just not a program, it’s fellowship to the true sense of the phrase. In this journey, we will leave no stone unturned - body, mind, soul. It’s not a training ( though there’s teaching), but a blend of coaching , counseling, spiritual direction, etc. it’s a beautiful tapestry that can only be experienced… it’s indescribable.
The fellowship aims to empower mothers to understand, embrace, and fulfill their divine role as nurturers, creating positive change within their families and communities and progressively empower their generations and Nations.
The fellowship will provide tools, information and support to help mothers navigate and address motherhood challenges of the 21st century, and raise a standard for nurturing Godly and holistic leaders and generations.
